About Mary

Mary Jones is a visual artist who’s inspiration comes from a studied knowledge of color, a heartfelt appreciation of nature, and a profound sense of gratitude. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from USD.

In 1999 Mary started practicing yoga. This decision has expanded her love of nature to include a humble and sincere appreciation of human nature. She has been honored to teach since 2009. 

In addition to weekly online classes and private session, Mary also volunteers for the Veterans Yoga Project, providing free yoga classes for our Veterans.

Utilizing a wide range of media from oils to watercolors, collage to faux finishing— Mary’s work has eclectic feel and a unique energy. She has had the honor to work in several private homes, as well as such historic properties as The Whaley House and The Cosmopolitan Hotel—both in Old Town San Diego.

Mary lives near Balboa Park
